Turkey Testaments Are Back!

Some of you oldtimers might remember my “Testament of A Turkey Hunter”. Back in 1991, I collaborated with graphic artist, Phil Eddy, of Dayton, Ohio and we produced a turkey hunter version of Robert Traver’s famous Testament of a Fisherman. It began, “I love to turkey hunt because…” Then we listed lots of philosophical, metaphysical and whimsical reasons why we hunt wild turkeys. Phil embellished the testament with two high quality pen-and-ink sketches - a gobbler in full strut and a turkey hunter, sitting against a tree. We printed these testaments on parchment paper. We gave away a few and sold a couple or three to relatives. I cannot remember the sales numbers but we did not get rich. Nor did we really market them beyond the small number of turkey hunters at the time in Dayton.
I stay in touch with Phil on a regular basis and recently we decided to release a new edition of the Testament on my website and through the newsletter. The Testament is printed on high quality parchment paper, 8.5 x 11 inches, and suitable for framing. We also have other testament versions available – deer hunter, waterfowler, pheasant hunter, quail hunter. Special introductory price: $11.95
